<description>Every year the V&#38;A produces the series "V&#38;A and me" as part of the London Design Week. The idea is to create a map of the favourites objects from the V&#38;A collection selected by people such as Sir Pauls Smith, Stephen Jones, Florence Welch, Dame Jacqueline Wilson, Erin O´Conor and Sir Cameron Mackintosh amongst others.

In the year 2010 I was asked to photograph many of the objects that were selected.

Maps were design by Johnson Banks and the photography layout was produced by Leon Steele.

<description>¨…supose we are walking alone. ¿Would it be said that, during this walk, I am able to hold memories as an individual, memories that are mine alone? (…) when a man is returning home, accompanied by no-one, without a doubt we would say that ´he was alone´. Yet he was alone soley in appearence, as included in that interval, are thoughts and actions that are explained by his social nature. And because there is no moment in which he is not part of society…”
Maurice Halbwachs.

The arrival of man on the moon is the point of departure for Gennao. Through the medium of live cinema, Gennao plays with the division between the individual and the collective. The manipulated scenes drive the main character from society to the loneliness of his thoughts. The collective memory of the audience completes the piece, serving as a reference to give the journey form. The barrier between the audience and the screen simulates the barrier between society and the individual, playing with the duality of absence-presence.

Gennao took part of In-Sonora IV Festival (Madrid,2010) at the Institue of European Desing (IED)
and also was performed at Battersea Arts Centre (London, 2010) as part of Accidental Festival.
